Art of Venice
Venice reached artistic glory during the Renaissance, with Titian and Tintoretto, the giants of the Venetian School of Art. Venice was also the most originally artistic city of 18th century in Italy, as represented by such painters as Tiepolo and Canaletto. To find some splendid artwork, walk over the Accademia
Bridge. This will lead you to a quieter Venice and the Galleria
dell'Accademia, with its collection of Venetian masters. The nearby
Peggy Guggenheim Gallery updates your tour through Venice's history
and art with its fine collection of early 20th century works.
